Psalm 23:1
Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
World English Bible (WEB)
Psalm 23 begins with trust rather than circumstances. David’s confidence isn’t that life will contain no hardship; the rest of the psalm walks straight through a dark valley and sits down at a table surrounded by enemies. His confidence is in who is leading him through it. “I shall lack nothing” is a statement about the shepherd’s care, made by someone who had done that job and knew what it involved.

We choose verses because their context connects to the topic, not because a random line happens to sound inspirational. Every verse comes with a note on who said it, to whom, and why it fits.
