“Children are a heritage from Yahweh.” Short, traditional, and it turns the card around: instead of praising the father, it says what he was given, and that he was given it on purpose. For a new father’s first Father’s Day especially, when he is still a little stunned to be one.
The one I’d leave out
Ephesians 6:4 (“fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath”). It is instruction, not praise, and it turns up in cards as a backhanded reminder. Proverbs 20:7 says what a good father leaves behind without grading him.
